Mount Crushmore

Mount Crushmore is a fictional honor given to baseball players who have hit at least 600 home runs in their career. It was first established during the Home Run Race between Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa, who at the time were battling to break the home run record of 61 set in 1961 by Roger Maris. The picture of the fictional monument was designed after Mt. Rushmore, and features McGwire, Sosa, Babe Ruth, and Hank Aaron.
Due to the BALCO Scandal, the honor has been discontinued, as the legitimacy of the recent honorees has been questioned. Since then, Barry Bonds and Alex Rodriguez have reached the milestone, with Bonds setting the all-time record. Both have also been accused and proven of using steroids, and are placed alongside McGwire and Sosa for their questionable records.
