Morgan Sea is a multidisciplinary artist from Saskatchewan. Primarily known as a cartoonist and zine illustrator, Sea also works in video, performance art, craft/sculpture, video games and radio production. Sea's work has been described as auto-ethno-graphic, exploring and creating trans feminist mythologies using fantasy and queer theory. As a cartoonist, she draws from traditional themes of superheroes and monsters, often subverting their tropes by bringing them into banal, everyday circumstances. Early life and education Sea was born and raised in Saskatchewan. She attended the Media Art program at and Inter-Media Cyber Arts at Concordia University. Abominatrix (2017) Abominatrix is a 14-page comic that was included in We're Still Here (an all-trans comics anthology) edited by Tara Madison Avery and Jeanne Thornton. Tranzister Radio (2014-2017) Over the course of 3 years Morgan Sea hosted and produced the Trans 4 Trans radio show Tranzister Radio on CKUT 90.3FM with a rotating group of trans creators. Focusing on arts and activism the show ran 40 episodes and hosted individuals such as Jordan Hope Miller, Lucas Charlie Rose, Rae Dooley, Raoule Nadeau, Kai Cheng Thom, Betty Iglesias, Gabrielle Bouchard, Kama La Mackerel.<ref name=":1" /> CBC Arts logo (2018) In 2018 Sea was invited by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation to create a CBC Arts logo in honour of Transgender Day of Remembrance.<ref name=":2" /> === #silenceviolence (2017) In 2017 Morgan Sea alongside Allyson Mitchell, Deirdre Logue, Heidi Cho and Mandi Gray exhibited a large-scale collaborative mural that was created to commemorate the activists and activism that led to the University of Toronto's Policy on Sexual Violence and Sexual Harassment.<ref name=":1" />
