Monsters in Martin Mystery

These are the monsters and other such creatures found in the Martin Mystery animated series.
Boogeyman
A giant, vaguely humanoid being apparently composed of plant-matter and maggots the Boogeyman was featured as the main villain of the episode "It Came From the Bog". It is revealed in the episode that the Boogeyman had terrorized and abducted the children of England centuries ago, until it was sealed within a storybook. In modern times the book was found by a child who opened it, unknowingly releasing the Boogeyman, who set about kidnapping "naughty" children.
Attempting to trap the Boogeyman, Martin, Diana and Java used several mal-behaved children to lure the Boogeyman to an abandoned hospital. Unfortunately this plan backfired when the Boogeyman overpowered the trio and transported them to its own swamp-like dimension. Abandoning Martin, Diana, Java and several children to be devoured by maggots the Boogeyman left for Earth once again to continue its kidnappings.
Fortunately the trio and the other children managed to escape the Boogeyman's world and arrived back on Earth just in time to find an angry mob trying to attack the Boogeyman. After an unsuccessful attack at the Boogeyman, Martin managed to lure the creature into the bookstore where it was released. Enraged at Martin and Java's constant harassment of it, the Boogeyman morphed into a spectral version of itself and tried to dive bomb Martin. Just as the Boogeyman was about to hit him, Martin held up the nearby Boogeyman storybook, which the Boogeyman rammed into head-first, resealing itself. The book was later placed in storage at the center.
In a later episode entitled "Germs from Beyond" the Boogeyman manages to escape the confines of its book and begins to travel through the air vent system of the Center to avoid detection while it searches for the ones who trapped it. Eventually coming across Martin, Diana and Java, the Boogeyman stalks them through an air duct until the trio falls through the ceiling. Regardless, the Boogeyman follows them and tries to attack. Before it can, though, it is attacked by Center security personnel and shrunken down to miniature size by an alien weapon, screaming like the grand high witch was when she was turned into a mouse in the 1990 movie "The Witches" then she was covered by a jar. The Boogeyman was last seen being transported to another cell in the center.
Monster Insects
A species of unnamed, extraterrestrials, scorpion-esque insects encountered in the Alberta, Badlands in the episode "Terror from the Sky". During prehistoric times, a large amount of these insects somehow managed to reach Earth. There the insects apparently went extinct and became fossilized. These insect fossils ended being brought to life in modern times when a radioactive meteorite from the Andromeda Galaxy ended up crashing in a rocky field near an abandoned mine where a large concentration of the insect fossils were located.
Immediately the insects and their queen established a nest in the mine. After this, the insects began to abduct any nearby humans, presumably for food. After Diana had been abducted by the insects, Martin and company managed to track the insects back to their nest. Freeing several people Martin, Diana and Java, along with seeing how the insects were revived, ended up encountering the insect queen.
Escaping the mine by flooding it, the trio saw that the queen had followed them. Realizing that the insects gained they're power and abnormal size from the aforementioned meteorite, Martin managed to trick the insect queen into destroying the meteorite by having her spit a large amount of acid on it. With the meteorite destroyed the insects ended up regressing to their normal size, the surviving insects were later collected and transported to the Center.
Black Spirit
A large slime monster created from a combination of oil and several bizarre magnetic gem stones, the Black Spirit was used by the shaman of a tropical village in an attempt to sabotage a nearby off-shore oil well in the episode "The Creeping Slime". Unfortunately the shaman lost control of the Black Spirit, which subsequently went on a rampage and began to devour any nearby people it could find. Martin eventually destroyed the Black Spirit by flinging a gem stone into the gem core of the Black Spirit. The collision of the gems ended up shattering both gems. The destruction of its core caused the Black Spirit to melt.
Leviathan
A gigantic sea monster resembling a cross between a whale and a reptile, the Leviathan is encountered by Martin, Diana and Java in the episode "Curse of the Deep". The Leviathan is revealed to have been the guardian of a sunken ship filled with vast amounts of treasure, and after the ship sank the Leviathan went into hibernation while continuing to guard it.
Centuries later, the Leviathan was disturbed from its slumber by two divers who wished to salvage the treasure on the ship. Attacking the divers, Leviathan succeeded in devouring one, while the other managed to escape with the treasure. In an attempt to reclaim its lost treasure, Leviathan continually attacked a nearby resort in Monte Carlo, Monaco searching out its treasure.
Attempting to track down the Leviathan and to figure out why it was continually attacking the resort, Martin, Diana and Java began an underwater search for the underwater behemoth. Unfortunately, the trio was eaten by the beast. Once inside, the gang and the diver who had been devoured earlier, after fending off Leviathan's immune system managed to formulate a plan to escape Leviathan.
Letting loose all the remaining oxygen in their tanks, Martin and company managed to give Leviathan a "monster version" of the hiccups. The creature shot Martin, Diana, Java and the diver to the surface; there they encountered the second diver who had plundered the ship. Forcing the diver aside the gang managed to hurl the Leviathan's treasure back into the ocean. Having reclaimed its treasure the Leviathan stopped its relentless assault on the surface world.
The Leviathan was last seen having been captured by the Center, who planned to transport the creature to an empty part of the ocean, where it could guard its treasure in peace.
Within him lived the antibodies: bizarre, small, tentacled creatures found within the stomach of Leviathan, these antibodies are used to attack and destroy any perceived threat. Despite the antibodies being weak singularly, they can be a large threat in groups; they are also, oddly, attracted to bright objects.
Werewolves(Wolfman)
The episode "Mark of the Shapeshifter" featured an appearance by a Werewolf. When land developers attempted to build on sacred ground, a nearby native protester decided to take matters into his own hands to drive them off. Using an ancient necklace, the native was able to transform into a werewolf by allowing himself to be possessed by a wolf spirit. Unlike a normal werewolf whose bite simply infected others with Lycanthropy, this werewolf had a special ability; it could transport those it bit to another werewolf infested dimension.
This werewolf ended up being defeated when Martin destroyed the project the developers were building. With the threat to the land destroyed, the wolf spirit left the body of its host and went back to its own dimension. Though the wolf spirits encountered in the episode were vulnerable to silver, once they infested a host, this weakness was eliminated.
Zook
A legendary Babylonian dragon Zook existed in another dimension which was, oddly, sealed in a bio-dome. It seems there was a weak point between Earth and Zook's world located in Boston, which in modern times had a subway system built over it. It seems every several years Zook needed to feed off the lifeforce of others to survive; when he needed sustenance Zook would transport any unwary person into his realm. In order to aid him in capturing victims, Zook employed the Appleby family off of a train he brought to his dimension back in 1962, who Zook gave immortality.
In the episode "Mystery of the Vanishing", while investigating the disappearance of a conductor named Joe Green who had vanished in the Boston subway, Martin, Diana and Java were transported to Zook's dimension. Here they met the Applebys, who had feigned kindness to the trio. Drugging Martin, Diana and Java, the Applebys had planned on feeding them to Zook, but first they had planned on feeding the captured Joe Green to him.
Following the Applebys the trio were ambushed and captured. The Applebys then tied Martin, Diana, Java and Joe Green up and left them to be eaten by Zook. Fortunately Martin managed to destroy Zook by distracting the dragon until its allotted feeding time ran out. With its time up and without lifeforce, Zook exploded which aged the Applebys.
Chaos Beast
A large, fleshy being with one giant red eye, the Chaos Beast was the result of an Arabian shaman attempting to rid the world of chaos by trapping it in a small puzzle box (which bears a striking resemblance to the Lemarchand's box. The Chaos Beast possesses an extreme amount of power, capable of transforming other creatures, controlling the weather and apparently possessing telekinesis. The Chaos Beast can also alter its form from solid to liquid to gas, and it presumably also has a solidus and an energy form as well.
Centuries after its creation, the Chaos Beast was released from its box prison accidentally by an unsuspecting boy named Wilber in the episode "It Came from inside the Box". And turned into a goat. Once freed, the Chaos Beast began to rain chaos down on an isolated town, causing freak weather strikes and transforming all the towns’ inhabitants into humanoid animals. The Chaos Beast was eventually resealed within its recently repaired box prison by Martin using the same spell as the Shaman had centuries ago. The box holding the Chaos Beast was later given to M.O.M. to be held in the center.
A being resembling the Chaos Beast makes a brief appearance as a creature held in a Center containment cell in the episode "Beast from Within".
The Sandman
A being that exists within the realm of dreams, The Sandman resembles a humanoid created out of semi-solid sand. The Sandman possesses various abilities, such as summoning sandstorms and manipulating lightning. The Sandman's most prominent ability though, is its ability to secrete sand, which can trap creatures in eternal nightmares. How The Sandman came into existence is unknown, but it seems to be a being essential part to the universe, as it causes creatures to experience nightmares.
In the episode "Attack of the Sandman", The Sandman was accidentally released into the real world by a professor doing experiments on dreams. Once released, The Sandman proceeded to run amok at a nearby university, trapping people within nightmares.
Eventually, Martin, Diana and Java, after venturing into The Sandman's realm, managed to neutralize The Sandman by trapping it between the dream world and the real world. The Sandman was last seen struggling to escape from the computer it had tried to use as portal to bring its physical form to the real world.
Due to his ability of attacking people through their dreams (and being trapped between the "real" and "dream" worlds), The Sandman is an obvious reference to Freddy Krueger.
Siren
A large, bird-like humanoid, the Siren, along with having the ability to fly, can also scream loud enough to cause buildings to collapse. The Siren, like the mythological creature it is based, can also, using the power of its voice, put men into a dazed, near vegetative state. The Siren could also assume a human-form.
In the episode "Shriek From Beyond", the Siren, after accidentally being released from her prison in an iceberg, began to attack a town in Newfoundland, searching for the man who had spurned her affection and sealed her in the iceberg in the first place.
After causing untold destruction, the Siren was eventually captured by Martin using a harpoon-gun equipped with a net. The creature was then handed-over to the center to be entered in their inter-species dating service.
Christmas Demons of the Snow Globe
Monstrous creatures created as a result of a man named Clifford's wish for a perfect Christmas. In the episode "Eternal Christmas", Martin, Diana, Java and Billy, after becoming trapped in a live-sized snow globe village, were continually attacked by these beings, which included troll-like creatures capable creating sonic blasts, roaring reindeer capable of flight and giant, and fanged-snowmen capable of regurgitating a quick-drying cement-like snow.
Utilizing a tornado, Diana was able to reseal the snow globe demons back into the enchanted snow globe whence they came.
Dark Druid
Hundreds of years ago, a druid was terrorizing a Nova Scotian town. However, the people were able to turn the druid's magic against using a sporing chain known as the Skeen Dug. As he turned into a tree, the druid vowed that he would rise again when 99 people were trees.
Years later, a young boy named Cameron picked a leaf off the druid tree, causing the druid's spirit to possess him. After turning 95 people into trees, the druid was well on its way to victory. Martin tried to destroy the tree which instead absorbed Cameron, bringing the Druid back to life. He was once again defeated through use of the sporing chain, turning everyone back to normal. The Center shrunk the tree down to size for containment.
Prindella Griswalda Doray
Prindella Griswald Doray appeared as an all-girls school principal, as Mrs. Doray. Martin and Java found out that Mrs. Doray is actually a witch, and that she planned to turn all of the girls in the school into witches. Diana also became a witch for a period of time. At the end of the episode, Martin defeated Mrs. Doray by performing a ritual, which vanquished her away, returning all of the schoolgirls back to normal, and restoring the old principal.
Nazca Aliens
A slimy alien species who was imprisoned by a Nazca shaman to prevent them from conquering Earth. They needed the gem from the book of the dead to awaken the others. These aliens could use use telekinesis powers to move objects to their will. Martin was able to seal the remaining aliens back in their cells. The Center then took the alien to be forever contained.
Blackwater Ghost
Philus Blackwater was the former manager and part-owner of the Blackwater Lodge, an obvious nod to the Overlook Hotel from Stephen King's The Shining. Eventually, his business partners turned on him, and the bank forclosed on his mortgage. However, Philus refused to leave the Blackwater Lodge, even after the heat had been shut off. Philus' body was found sitting in a chair in front of a camera in the ballroom, frozen solid. His spirit was trapped in a photograph and was accidentally released when the photograph he was sealed in was shattered.
He proceeded to take possession of Diana, whom went on a rampage to force Martin and Java out of the lodge. Martin finally sealed Blackwater in a new photograph, and the Center closed the building down once and for all.
Carlyn
The queen of the Underworld for a few months between Halloween and spring, Carlyn was a malevolent spirit who broke free into the mortal world through a Celtic necklace, and possessed the woman wearing it. Determined to create an eternal Halloween in the mortal world so that she could rule it forever, she kidnapped and turned a shopkeeper named O'Brien into a leprechaun and concocted an enchanted blackberry mixture which would transform her victims into their Halloween costumes personas. Not only did Carylyn have the power to possess people, but she could also shapeshift into a raven as seen when she tried to kidnap O' Brien.
Carlyn was defeated when she, possessing a baby Martin, is fed with her own blackberry chocolate. Her plan to rule the mortal world was backfired when she was banished back to the Underworld by her own concoction.
Icetopus
A large ice monster that used to be a "god" to a fictional race of Indians. Martin and the usual gang are called to a ski resort run by a Swedish couple. They get there, only to find that the woman running it, was worrying about her husband and told Martin, Diana and Java that her husband hasn't come back from his scouting mission on the mountain yet. Icetopus has the ability to freeze any pesky people who attempt to colonize on his precious mountain, including Java, with many two pronged tentacles containing a mixture if phrion and liquid nirtogen. Martin defeated it by freezing it with its own tentacle. It has an appearance in the center containment cells in the episode "They came from the gateway part 2".
Gastromo
Gastromo is a slug-like monster that possesses anyone that it can find, and reacts to salt the same way real slugs and snails do. Once Gastromo finds its host, it jumps inside the host's body turning him/her into a slug monster. This causes the host to have a large craving of anything containing high amounts of iron. Gastromo possessed Martin and the possessed Martin made M.O.M. and Java into slave slug monsters. Diana defeated Gastromo by using an electro magnet to pick up Gastromom and his slaves(who contained high amounts of magnetic iron) and dropped them into a salt-water fish tank. This caused Gastromo to separate from Martin and free Java and M.O.M. from their "slugification". The fish ate Gastromo, and M.O.M. had the tank sealed so she could keep an eye on Gastromo.
The Doppelganger
A "doppelganger" refers to a clone. The show takes on a Jungian approach to the theme by suggesting that a doppelganger works much like Carl Jung's interpretation of The Shadow, a part of the mind that represents all negative aspects of the human psyche. The Doppelganger was expelled by a prosecutor and went around, stealing the faces of anyone who looked like her, including Diana. The creature was determined to be composed of neural electricity, and once lured back to the prosecutor who expelled it, Martin subdued the creature by spraying it with hairspray. It was then carted away by the Center.
Prehistoric Creatures
The prehistoric creatures were dinosaurs that were brought back to life from fossils by a ex-palaeontologist, who was trying to reverse the world to be ruled by dinosaurs again, but Martin destroyed the gourd that was keeping them alive, and the scientist was sent to jail. The dinosaurs were a Triceratops, Tyrannosaurus, Stegosaurus, Dilophosaurus, Pteranodon, and Velociraptor.
Mothman
The Mothman was once a French human student, until he was bribed into volunteering for an illegal experiment by his science teachers. By combining his DNA with that of the white cedar moth, they transformed him into a hideous insectoid creature. He later sought revenge by kidnapping and imprisoning them in silk cocoons (presumably for eating later).
Eventually the creature was stopped, and the Center apprehended the teachers for illegal human experimentation. They also took the mothman to return him to normal.
Saros
Saros was a giant lizard-like creature that lived of the life forces of humans about 1000 years ago. He was found on an 1000 year-old spacecraft underneath a lake near a summer camp. Martin defeated him by making Saros use up his life force by allowing himself and Java to be turned into lizards.
Ratman
A creature living in the sewer that it was also a person who became infected by an experiment. The person who was infected was Al Rizzo, a janitor at Geno-Splice Laboratory. He mutated into a giant rat when an experimental nano-molocule that combines human and rat DNA was spilled, leaked into the sewers, and onto his bed. The two suspects in this crime were Morice Muncey, and Roberta Frisk.
The ratman has red eyes with some human DNA left. It had been haunting the sewers in Washington D.C. for almost a month. It had to finish the job, that means to get revenge. It went to finish the 3 professors who mutated him, but one got away. This ratman has a collapsible skeleton so it could be released. The ratman disappeared in Al's body and then, he was returned to his normal self. When the investigation is over, the 3 professors are heading to the center jail to answer some questions.
Synth Family
The synth was described by Martin as an amalgamation of human and alien DNA. The creature was introduced attacking a local logger in the woods of Canada. While Martin and Diana's father worked in the area, he and the protagonists were attacked by the creature, who was in the throes of child birth. The characters were captured and were intended to be the meal for the synth children.
The creature possesses no eyes, so it is implied that it has a form of echolocation or infrared vision. It also possesses the ability to emit a high-pitched form of infrasound to paralyze its would-be prey, as well as superhuman strength.
In the end, the creatures were relocated by The Center to avoid any further clashes with humans.
Amazon Vapor
A bacterium that was hidden underground. It had begun a new species after collecting DNA chunks. It feeds on oxygen and grows to a large size, consuming all the air around it. When there is no more oxygen, it goes into a dormant state. Since The Center deemed the creature too dangerous to move, they barricaded it in a cave in Central America with a warning sign that broadcast a threat in every language.
Living Statues
When a magician was revived through use of a reanimation dust, he began preparation to resurrect the first emperor of China. As a result of this, a dragon and lion were brought to life. However, the magician presumed the terracotta army to be the Emperor's loyal warriors, they were actually placed to keep the evil one in the tomb. When the Emperor's spirit was again confined, all of the statues returned inanimate.
Alien Soldiers of Ganthar
In space far from Earth, a group of alien marauders lead by Ganthar, who was Billy, scavenged entire planets, depleting them of all their resources. Eventually, Ganthar grew tired of fighting and left, crash landing on Earth, causing the Roswell Incident in 1947. After 57 years, his army came to Earth, posing as nuclear plant workers to steal radiation needed to contact the mothership. As a bonus, they retrieved their long-lost leader. Billy transformed back into Ganthar and destroyed the mothership.
Fungus Alien
A long time ago a meteorite crashed near a town called Bridger's Gap; although it seemed like it was nothing to worry about, it is actually accompanied by a mushroom-like alien, no one noticed because it took a long time for it to grow to its extent. It takes any human getting too close to it by sucking the victims in an underground spawning area; meanwhile the victims are replaced with slime creatures that look exactly like them. The slime creatures' only flaw is that they can only say one thing over and over. It is very weak against salt. Martin and the gang defeated it when they tricked it to plunge in the salt lake surrounding Bridger's Gap.
Simone de Bastien
A soul sucking vampire, Simone and her husband ruled a clan of vampires in France. She was defeated but came back, it was later revealed that Martin was a distant relative of her late husband and he possessed a gene that would revive her clan and establish her as Queen of the Vampires. She was ultimately defeated and all her victims turned back to normal.
Dark Djini
This monster is a female evil Djini (a.k.a. a genie) that vows revenge on humans after it got tricked by an Arab prince into giving him riches. It first appeared in the episode "Crypt of the Djini". It travels in the form of a green mist. The Arab prince trapped the Djini into a skull because he knew the Djini was evil. This Djini was released from his skull after a burglar tried to rob the skull from the Sydney, Australia museum.
The wishes the Djini grants are altered in a bad way. For example, the museum owner wished that he had one-of-a-kind masterpiece for his museum. The Djini granted him this wish by giving him the museums greatest statue: himself. The prince wished he could be more like his ancestors turning him into a drawing on family tree. Java wished he could fit in better and turned into a puzzle in his shape. Diana wished she was the smartest person on earth and turned her head painfully big.
The Djini forces her victims to wish for something even if they don't want to by travelling inside the victims mind and forcing them to tell their wish. This Djini can also travel through cracks on the floor and closed doors.
Martin defeated this Djini by wishing that the Djini would return to the place that it belonged which was inside the skull the Arab Prince originally trapped it in, and cancelled out all her recent wishes by burning her skull in a fireplace.
The Djini returned in the episode "Revenge of the Djini", this time possessing Diana.
Montgomery Stokes
Though not a monster, Stokes was a creepy, cold man who was running for mayor for a small town in Louisiana in the episode "You Do Voodoo". Being the great-great-great-great grandson of a legendary shaman, he believed that by tapping into the power of his ancestor's talisman, he could secure his position. A practitioner in voodoo magic, he created illusions and a wide variety of other sorcery to scare away the competition. Once he was voted as mayor, he trapped Martin, Diana and Java by using voodoo dolls and pinning them to the wall. He then went into a tomb underneath his office, where the remains of his ancestor lay, and with it, the talisman.
He was defeated when Martin replaced his voodoo doll with Stokes's image, and telekinetically beat him up before he and his ancestor's remains were handed over to the Center, along with the talisman.
Hexan
Martin, Diana, and Java are sent to investigate a series of disappearances on an island resort. They are suspicious of the hotel manager and their suspicions are confirmed by a new employee to the resort, Olivia. She explains to them that guests have been disappearing and those that do not disappear lose the will to do anything. Before she is called away she tells them to check out Yellow Tide Beach. Night falls and the gang proceeds to Yellow Tide Beach. They chance upon zombie looking creatures that resemble the hotel staff. They follow the employees and find the hotel manager completing some sort of ceremony. The Yellow Tide comes in and Hexan is revealed. He is an ancient monster of the sea, which stays alive by feeding off of humans. Martin and Java send a rock tumbling down, blocking Hexan from water. The Yellow Tide is washed away and Hexan turns to dust. His remains are collected and locked away in the center.
Alpha Omega
A civilization of ancient beings that live underground in the desert. They have been waiting for their queen to return so that they can once again rule the surface. They mistake Diana as their queen when she becomes bald due to Jenny dyeing her hair. Meanwhile the real queen was with the center, they found her frozen solid a few years ago. The Alpha Omega has the power of telekinesis and teleportation. They are weak against the sunlight (due to their prolonged staying underground). It causes them to melt when exposed to it. The center, who had found their queen long ago, return her to them under the condition they do not try to take over the surface.
The Parasite
The parasite was a creature that was encountered by Martin, Java and Diana in the Antarctic. The creature is a nod to The Thing and Venom from Spider-Man in that it can infiltrate a host body and remain in a dormant, concealed state, due to its need to consume a key ingredient on warm blood (possibly plasma). However, it is extremely thermosensitive and cannot survive long when exposed to the bitter cold. When the Parasite invades a human body, that body mutates into a feral, alien form and goes on a violent rampage. Once it abandons a host body, however, the host body reverts back to normal. When it was able to finally survive on its own, Martin lured it outside, where it froze.
Beasts of the Perigee
Perigee refers to a phase of the moon. It is said that a shaman wandered into a village in the area and refused help by the frightened settlers. He cursed the area, stating that the fears of the settlers would take form and avenge him during Perigee. By morning, the creatures would become permanent.
* A giant ant that turns humans into dust. Was defeated when Diana screamed into a microphone.
* The Beach Beast, a comic book flying sand monster. Defeated when Martin sprayed it with water.
* A werewolf, was flung out of the Torrington area so the curse was lifted.
* A giant venus fly trap. Defeated when Martin covered it in herbicide.
* A giant robot, Martin literally pulled its plug.
* Java the Radioactive Swamp Zombie. Martin was shooting a horror movie on the night of Perigee, much to Diana's chagrin, stating "As if you don't get enough monsters in reality." Java was cast as the titular monster, and and Martin hadn't finished his film to make a weakness. Luckily, Java was defeated when Diana sprayed him with her Spray-On Cast invention.
The Third Eye
The Seers were a clan of soothsayers who could see the future. They were blind and worshipped a Third Eye, which afforded them clairvoyance and limited telekinetic abilities. However, the Eye caused them to become increasingly irrational and violent, even driving them to the brink of insanity, thus making them extremely dangerous. The power was invoked by a girl at a renowned school for the blind. She used the power of the Eye in an attempt to kill anyone she perceived as a threat. Martin, Diana and the newly-inducted Marvin managed to destroy the amulet which gave the Eye its power, even when they themselves were blinded.
Creatures of the Gateway
These hideous monsters or demons were creatures painted inside the Tibetan monastery/cave that held the reflecting Pool and the gateway to the underworld. When M.O.M. was possessed she had the ability to summon these creatures to life and attacked Martin and the gang on their quest to save M.O.M. And then assembled themselves to become an army for the Gatekeeper and M.O.M. They were banished back to the Underworld when M.O.M. closed the gateway.
The Gatekeeper
A lich was introduced in "They Came from the Gateway". It asked Martin a riddle. Martin answered the riddle and was to be able to pass the gate to the Tibetan Sanctuary which held the gateway to the underworld. It was later revealed to be the one manipulating M.O.M. during her possession. He was supposedly defeated by Martin, banished back to the underworld when the "key" was destroyed, but an ending scene showed him re-appearing taking interest in Martin's and M.O.M's U-watch.
Barok
The evil ruler of the shadow world. Barok tried to take over Earth by imprisoning its population through their shadows by making them come alive. In his realm, the people slowly become shadows. Once the last person was gone, Barok would step onto the Earth, the portal to the shadow world would close forever and Barok would rule supreme. As the king of all shadows, he wouldn't be destroyed by simple flashes of light. However, Martin was the only one standing in his way. He kept Barok fighting until the sun rose, annihilating him. With his demise, all of his prisoners returned to Earth.
Nadu
Nadu was a demon who is found in the episode "Mystery of the Hole Creature" Being a creature of darkness, Nadu couldn't go into sunlight, as that was its weakness. It guarded the treasures of an ancient tomb in India. This demon was defeated by Java and Martin. After Java punched a hole in the wall, Billy tossed a coin through the hole causing the demon to chase after it. The demon chased for the coin right into the daylight which then dissolved it into thin air.
Galamabeast
A mutated alien hamster with a gigantic mouth full of razor sharp teeth. It almost devoured Martin. M.O.M. shot it with her Tranquilazer and it turned to stone before being transported to its home planet.
Jingle Jim (also spelled Mig Elgnij)
An evil elf who was kicked out of Santa's workshop. He comes to the world every hundred years, giving people a Christmas message that turns a person's wish into the opposite of its meaning or literal. Once midnight strikes, Jim disappears for another century while all the changes are permanent. Luckily, Martin's wish was a fully paranormal Christmas, reversing everything off.
