MONOkuro

is a Japanese manga written and illustrated by Masahiro Itosugi. It was first published in 2007 by Akita Shoten and was released in a single on may 18th 2007. Like it's follow-up Aki Sora there is an ample supply of ecchi situations with sexual undertones, classifying this manga as seinen.
Synopsis
Kurou Kusakabe is a high school student who doesn't stand out at all (his classmates don't even know that he is attending class) and doesn't have any friends. He has however a crush on the beautiful Hitomi Amano but doesn't have the courage to approach her. One day he discovers he has a strange power: he can transfer his soul into any object, just by focusing onto it. The only way this is undone is when someone calls his name, at which point his soul instantly returns to his body. As he gradually learns to deal with this ability, he frequently comes across embarassing and hazardous situations and eventually his entire existence will be in jeopardy.
Characters
is the 15 year old protagonist. His hair is very short and is seldomly seen with his eyes open. He is somewhat of a reclusive character, has no friends and noone knows of his existence, except for his older sister, with whom he lives together. He is in love with the school beauty Hitomi Amano. He discovers he can transfer his soul into any object and uses this ability to be near his love, but because he has regular sexual fantasies he often transfers to objects that are in close proximity to girls. In chapter 4 he becomes posessed by the spirit of a boy, which can only be undone by having sexual intercourse with a shrine maiden. In the final chapter his ability causes him almost to fade away from existence, both physically and in memories of the people that know him. This is however averted when he tries to save Hitomi and merges with her mind, making her realize who he is. This brings back his physical appearance and he eventually becomes friends with her.
is a beautiful girl with long blond hair who is in the same class as Kurou. She is very popular and well liked throughout the school and is the girl that Kurou is in love with, but since she's oblivious of him he lacks the courage to confess to her. She is kidnapped in chapter 3, but Kurou uses his ability to track her down and eventually saves her (due to some misunderstandings this is not recognized by Hitomi). In the final chapter she gets missing on a ski trip, but is saved by Kurou and she becomes friends with him.
is the 17 year old sister of Kurou. She has a dominant personality and frequently punishes her brother when his antics call for it. She is the only one who knows his name and is therefore the only one who can undo his transfer ability. This becomes a bit of a running gag, since this often happens when Kurou is endulging himself.
is a 16 year old miko who lives in a temple and is from the same class a Kurou. When he was posessed by a spirit she stated that this could only be undone by having intercourse with her, because the spirit belonged to an 18 year old boy that was looking for sexual satisfaction.
is a shy girl from Kurou's class, who is romantically involved with the student council president Risa Aiuchi. Even though she is a bit afraid of Risa, she honestly has feelings for her. Although she wants to tell Risa that she doesn't always want to she doesn't have the courage to speak up, so she is frequently overrun and ultimately gives in. She eventually runs out on Risa and becomes friends with Hitomi.
is the student council president at Kurou's school. She has a dominant personality and is involved in a romantic relationship with Futaba, often forcing her to participate. Kurou once entered her cellphone, altering an alleged picture of her and Futaba in the process, which causes Futaba to run away from her after seeing it.
