Mohanji

P.K. Mohan, known in the spiritual world as Mohanji, was born on Feb 23rd, 1965 in Palakkad, Kerala as the first son of Dr. Pathirisseri Kesavan Namboothiri and Sreedevi.
Early Life
Mohanji's father worked as an Orthopedic Surgeon and spent all his official life serving the state government hospitals at various locations in Kerala. Hence Mohanji had his education in various towns and cities of Kerala. Even though he did not display much interest in academic studies, he completed his post-graduation with Masters in English Language and Literature from Kerala University in 1987.
Career
He spent his entire career in the Middle East, from 1990 onwards, in the Shipping and Logistics Industry. He worked in Oman, Dubai, Bahrain and Iraq. Most of his working life was spent in Oman and Dubai. He worked with prestigious Shipping Lines such as American President Lines, MOL, Hanjin Line, Norasia, CSAV, NSCSA, Lloyd Triestino, Toko Line, Hoegh Lines, Idemitsu Tankers, Tokyo Tankers, BP, Hebridian Cruises, Swan Hellenic, Fedex FTN, etc.
Divorce and Marriage
After 9 years of physical separation, Mohanji's divorce process was completed in 2009. He got married to Biljana Radonic (Biba) in Novi Sad, Serbia on April 18th, 2010. Their daughter Mila Mohan was born on April 6th, 2011.
His Teachings
Mohanji says: "The core of my teaching is LIBERATION from all bindings and habits of life. Stay liberated and leave liberated. " His works are codified into a book called The Power of Purity, which has been published in UK in 2011.
All his teachings and programs are free of cost, as he strictly follows the tradition to its core.
Charity initiatives
Mohanji founded Ammucare Charitable Trust (ACT) in Palakkad, Kerala in October 2003 in honor of his late daughter Ammu. Throughout the year, and especially on November 9th, birth anniversary of Ammu, ACT volunteers distribute food, clothing, blankets, medical care, etc. to the poor and needy across India. In northern Indian states like Jammu, ACT volunteers have become known for distributing blankets to the poor street dwellers. The larger purpose of ACT Foundation is to create peace and non-violence in our internal and external environment.
In 2003, with the support of his friends, Mohanji also founded ACT Foundation in Dubai, aimed at reaching out to the poor and needy across the globe. After 5 years and many successful charity initiatives including disaster relief, ACT Foundation in Dubai was discontinued in 2008 due to excessive administrative expenses.
However, ACT Foundation has also been registered in South Africa in April 2012.
Based on the teachings of Mohanji, Mohanji Seva Foundation was registered by his followers in Pune, India in the year 2011.
