Moani Hara (born December 3, 1989) is an American model and hula dancer who won Miss Hawaii USA 2014. Early life and education Hara was born in Nu'uanu and is of Hawaiian, Japanese, Chinese, Dutch, Irish and Portuguese ancestry. She graduated in 2008 from Assets school and studied public relations at the University of Hawaii. Career She won Miss Hawaii's Outstanding Teen 2007 and was first runner-up in Miss Hawaii USA 2012 before winning Miss Hawaii USA 2014 in October 2013. She has worked as a model and hula dancer, appeared in an episode of Hawaii Five-0, Since she has dyslexia, she has served as a volunteer with the Hawaii International Dyslexia Association.<ref name=Telemundo/> |
