Mixtape Metro

Mixtape Metro (commonly abbreviated as "Mixtape" or "MM")is a Christian Electronic Power Pop band from Canton, Ohio. Their music incorporates various styles including power pop, electronica, hip hop, and Contemporary Christian.

History
Mixtape Metro made it's debut in 2006 as a solo musical project by lead singer Jakub Vanyo. In early 2008, with the addition of new members Dustin Lindeman, Evan Davis, and Josh Arnold, the band added a new dimension and was now able to play live shows. The band made an immediate impact by winning the Canton Repository's battle of the bands in it's first live performance. In May of 2008 they won the New Artist Talent Search at the Alive Christian Music Festival, after receiving sweeping endorsements from Christian Contemporary Music groups Superchick and John Reuben. Following a convincing Alive Festival performance, the group's popularity has greatly increased helped by regular airplay on 88.9 The Alternation in the Cleveland area. Currently Mixtape Metro is in the process of recording it's first full length studio album.
