Michael "Mikey Benz" Benzaia (born February 15, 1986) is an American reality television personality/ TV host who is best known for being a cast member of the USA Reality show Summer Camp. Since the show's debut in 2013 Mikey has appeared on several talk shows. Mikey has also appeared on Fox dating show "Take me out with George Lopez", TLC Extreme cougar wives and music videos such as andy grammar tour guide. Mikey Benz was born and grew up in Middletown New York He currently resides in Brentwood California. Personal life Mikey was born in Middletown, New York. to Jay and Edith Benzaia. His upbringing was very Bronx Italian American. His father was volunteer firefighter and NYC union carpenter. His late mother was a special education teacher at Circleville Middle School. He has one brother Jason who owns a barbershop in Pine Bush, New York. He grew up and attended school at Pine Bush, New York, where he was homecoming king and involved in sports and clubs. During high school, Mikey's family was dealt a tough situation. His mother was diagnosed with breast cancer and passed in 2004. His mothers struggle and strong family base has lead to his many efforts in breast cancer awareness and philanthropy.5]
