Mike Portoghese

Mike Portoghese (born in Toronto, Ontario), is a Canadian music video director and visual effects artist. He has directed videos for various Canadian and international recording artists and is represented by the production company "The NE"
Career
Some artists he's worked with include Danny Fernandes, Belly, Beenie Man, PS I LOVE YOU, JDiggz, Kreesha Turner, Our Lady Peace, Delerium, Snow, Justin Nozuka, Neverending White Lights, Protest the Hero, Bedouin Sound Clash & Kardinal Offishall, etc.
In 2010, Portoghese directed the influential music video ‘Automatic’ (Danny Fernandes f. Belly) , garnering a nomination for Video of the Year at the 2011 CMW Canadian Independent Music Awards.
2011 Began with his video for Indie buzz band PS I LOVE YOU being selected by Stereogum.com as one of the top 5 videos of the week during the SXSW music festival.
His commercial work has been expansive and international, from Labatt, Lululemon, Spike TV, Cadbury, Benadryl, MuchMusic to Toshiba and Coca-Cola.
