Mike Pachelli is a guitarist and producer from Youngstown, Ohio. He has produced a myriad of bands and singer/songwriters and is the recipient of five Gold & Platinum RIAA awards. Musical career Pachelli's guitar style is an amalgamation of blues, jazz, rock, and neo-classical. He began playing guitar as a youngster with lessons in his hometown of Youngstown. He studied classical guitar at Youngstown State University, and then moved to New York City to study bebop. Through the years, Pachelli gained considerable musical experience in night clubs, concert halls, and recording studios. He has released fourteen CDs as a leader and has done a number of CD's with his lifelong friend and mentor, Phil Keaggy. Their Grammy nominated CD, released through Solid Air Records, is entitled Two Of Us. Mike's jazz/fusion CD électricité, which features Andrew W.K. on piano, has been critically acclaimed as some of his best work. Pachelli has "gigged" and studied with an eclectic group of musicians including organist Jack McDuff, guitar luminaries Joe Pass and Pat Martino, big band greats Les and Larry Elgart, and pianists Ferrante and Teicher among others. Television career In the 80's and 90's Pachelli hosted a television show on Warner Bros. affiliate WTMV for 10 years Friday and Saturday nights in the Tampa/St. Petersburg/Orlando area. The program boasted a 14 million cumulative audience. In addition to playing with his group on the show and airing music videos, Mike has had a chance to interview and jam with stars such as Paul McCartney, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Robert Plant, Eric Johnson, Zakk Wylde, Allan Holdsworth, Joe Satriani, and many others. Production career Pachelli currently resides in Nashville, Tennessee, where he operates a recording studio (Fullblast Recordings) and has a production company (Stonechelli Productions) with CCM icon Randy Stonehill. He fronts his own blues group and tours regularly with Jeanne Mas, the Keaggy/Stonehill Band, Michael Sembello, Lance Abair,and the Frank Stallone Group.
