Mike Hiratzka (full name Michael Hiratzka) is a music producer, audio engineer, remixer and DJ based in Los Angeles, California. He is the co-owner of Lost Angeles Recordings (http://www.lostangelesrecordings.com) along with fellow DJ/producer D:Fuse. The duo’s first release on their label was the D:Fuse & Hiratzka album ‘Skyline Lounge’, which was initially released on iTunes in June 2007 . The album features guest vocalists Kristy Thirsk on the song ‘Overkill’ and DJ Rap on a cover of the Frankie Goes To Hollywood song ‘The Power Of Love’. Mike also sings on the song ‘In Suspense’, for which there is a music video directed by David Presley and features footage from the film Ninja Cheerleaders. Mike has released singles, remixes and DJ compilations on labels including Spundae, Alternative Route Recordings [http://www.discogs.com/label/Alternative+Route+Recordings], Impropa Talent (co-written with DJ Rap)and Lost Language. Mike is featured as a programmer on the Fauxliage album, produced by Bill Leeb and Rhys Fulber of Delerium. Mike also joined Delerium on tour in May 2008, playing bass guitar with the band on their first-ever tour of Europe. The tour dates included shows in London, Antwerp, Budapest, Prague, Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Athens, Thessaloniki, and Moscow. Also available for the first time on the Delerium tour was an EP of four songs from singer Kristy Thirsk’s new album, tentatively titled ‘Phoenix’. Mike co-produced and co-wrote the album, as well as engineering and mixing all of the material. Mike has DJed around the world at nightclubs including Cinema Club (Bogotá, Colombia) , Spundae (Los Angeles), The Church (Denver, CO) , Club Space (Miami), 1015 (San Francisco) , Double Six (Bali, Indonesia) and Joint 15 (Hong Kong). Mike is also a technical reviewer for REMIX magazine (/), and has reviewed equipment including microphones, DJ mixers and CD players.
