Biography
Michelle Alice Hotaling (ho-TAL-ing)was born in the often-misprounounced town of Coxsackie, New York. Born into a struggling middle-class family, her limited resources growing up created her fierce drive for success. By the age of ten she had decided she would be the next Bette Midler- Barbra Streisand and molded her future plans around her diva-idols. Involved in the arts in school, she graduated a year as class Valedictorian and relocated to New York City. Attending Marymount Manhattan College on a full-scholarship, she met Stephanie Webster and their mutual interest led them to follow Bette Midler's Divine Miss Millennium Tour. Their efforts were later published in a memoir, Bette or Bust by a division of Random House. They received accolaides including honorary memberships with literary clubs around the country. While finishing her education and promoting her book, Michelle worked briefly at Barbra Streisand's company, Barwood Films.

At the age of 19, Michelle completed her Bachelor's Degree in Communication Arts and relocated to Los Angeles for the film adaptation of Bette or Bust and made appearances on The West Wing, Bedford Diaries, DNA: Guilty or Innocent, and Miss Congeniality 2. After a year of Tinseltown she headed back to New York and shifted her pen from writing books and screenplays to composing music.

Her first album, Chained by Dreams had its limited release on December 10, 2006 and was produced by Scott Slater of Quantum Sheep Records. Her songs "Porcelain Doll" and "Crystal Clear" have been receiving national airplay.
