Michael Siemsen (born April 5, 1976) is an American writer of Action-adventure, Science fiction, and novels. Career Siemsen (pronounced seem'sen) lives near San Francisco, California. Originally studying performing arts at with notable alumni Fiona Apple, Paula Patton, , and Carmit Bachar, he went on to join the U.S. Army, serving as a tracked vehicle operator.After the military, Siemsen worked in sales and information technology fields while writing in his spare time. In early 2011, he released The Dig, an archeology adventure novel, in paperback and ebook form, reaching within a year the Top 10 of Amazon's best seller lists in multiple categories, including Sci-Fi, Adventure Fiction, and Alternate History Fiction. Work Siemsen's published work thus far includes only The Dig, an archeology thriller centering around the protagonist Matthew Turner, a twenty-something with the psychic ability , which enables him to read emotional imprints on inanimate objects.
