Michael Scott Paper Company Inc. was a fictional paper sales company in the U.S. television series , starting and ending late in the 5th season of the show. Michael Scott founded the company in 2009 after growing tired of his new Dunder Mifflin boss, . In the episode "Dream Team", Michael decides to leave Dunder Mifflin and take some of the other Dunder Mifflin employees with him, in order to start his own paper company. The only ones who agree to join him are Pam Beesly and former Dunder Mifflin employee Ryan Howard. Fighting bankruptcy, the company manages to steal Dunder Mifflin customers, leading Dunder Mifflin CFO David Wallace to re-hire Michael, Pam, and Ryan, marking the end of the Michael Scott Paper Company.
Michael Scott Paper Company steals clients from Dunder Mifflin, leaving David Wallace little choice but to buy out the company. Michael rejects David's first offer of $12,000 and his second offer of $60,000. He asks David to give him his old job back instead, as well as salesman jobs for Pam and Ryan. Wallace reluctantly accepts.<ref name=ew/>
