Michael J. Margiotta (born January 1971) founder, Chairman and CEO of eHealth Global Technologies, Inc., a healthcare technology company that provides first to market patent pending patient medical record and image exchange services to healthcare providers throughout the United States. In 2010, he was honored by the Rochester Business Journal (Rochester, NY) as one of its “Forty under 40” award recipients for professional and community service.<ref name="RBJ" /> Early life Margiotta was raised by his grandparents after losing his parents at an early age. He attended Irondequoit High School, in Rochester, NY, then obtained a Dual Bachelors degree in accounting and legal studies from St. John’s University, Queens NY, where he attended with a full Division 1 athletic scholarship for lacrosse and football, in addition to being a part of the National Championship Lacrosse Team in 1992 at Herkimer County Community College.<ref name="Bivonia" /> Professional career Margiotta founded eHealth Global Technologies to address several gaps in the U.S. Healthcare system, and did this through developing innovative technologies and combining personalized services. Prior to this, he established National Digital Health Solutions, formed Mediquest Pharmacy Express and held a Senior Management position with a global medical device organization.<ref name="BusinessWeek" /> He has also filed several service/IT healthcare patents.<ref name="PatentOne" /><ref name="PatentTwo" /> Community Activities Action Against Child Maltreatment (AACM), a 501C3 non-for-profit charity to protect abused children, was founded by Margiotta. He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board.<ref name="BusinessWeek" /> In addition, he serves on numerous community boards including Cancer Mission 2020, Project Exile and previously served on Bivona Child Advocacy Center, Society for the Protection and Care of Children, and Rochester Police Athletic League (PAL program), and member of Oakhill Country Club. Personal life Margiotta married Concetta (née Barbone) in 1996 and they reside in Rochester, New York. They have three sons, Alessandro (1999), Adriano (2000) and Maurizio (2006).<ref name="Bivonia" /> Michael enjoys participating in Triathlons and MMA competitions.
