Mic Wrath

Michael Raphael Davies (born 11 September 1987), better known as Mic Wrath, is a English Rapper and Actor from London. Born In Tooting South London to a Nigerian Father and English Mother . He is a hard hitting/conscious rapper that likes to express the boundaries of his intellect within his lyrics, more of his concepts come from the surroundings of his upbringings and experiences from both negative and positive times of his life. He attended Wimbledon College Secondary School in South London Wimbledon until the age of 16.
Early Career
Mic has been writing and performing since the age of 13 and co-formed was part of South London's Hip Hop/Grime collective Lyrically Scar'd who consisted of English Rappers Jay Full Stop and Plattnarm. Mic then was known as M.D.R (Mike Da Ripper aka Murda Da Rhyme'z aka Rhyme'z) and together with the rest of the group performed exceptionally, memorizing live shows at events such as Plan B in Brixton, The New Cross Gateside Festival, New 291 Show at Hackney Empire, Tim Westwood's University Tour, MOBO's University Challenge, The Have You Got Skillz Showcase at Wandsworth Civic Centre, Urban Kingdom Presents 1st Verse at Illusions, SW16, The May Day Festival in Ipswich, Lewisham People's Day 2006, Southwark Youth Council Showcase at Broadway Theartre in Catford, Baracuda Bar in Aldgate and The Carling Academy in Islington, Also hitting various pirate radio]] stations and underground DVDs to showcase their talent. They are most remembered for there feature in 2007's BBC Three Singing with the Enemy which received rave reviews from viewers, they showed their passion and versatility within their musical talent and a mature approach to experimenting with different musical styles. In the end Lyrically Scar’d and Dirty Cakes, produced a track named Face Value recorded at Mayfair studios engineered by Tommy Dee. This project did not give Lyrically Scar’d any advantages. as the editing of the programme gave the crew a narrow minded approach towards homophobia. However the track was a success and the Jay and the crew managed to perform at the Cafe de Paris along with the Dirty Cakes.
Not long after the Show Lyrically Scar'd left there Management company as they were not happy with the handling of there career and Mic parted company with Lyrically Scar'd in Spring 2009 stating the group had grown apart due to other commitments.
Solo career
Mic began working closely with DJ and Producer Nick Bridges who is 1 half of the successful Englsih House Music duo Bodyrox and the producer behind Lethal Bizzle's Single's "Mind Spinning" and "Go Go Go!" ft Luciana. Mic was originally set to feature on the Sound Track to the First UK 3D Movie StreetDance 3D but was later taken off due to the label Universal wanting a more established Artist on the track. It was later given to N-Dubz and realeased "We Dance On" and it debuted on 27 May 2010 on the Irish Singles Chart at number nine. It was the second highest new entry for the week behind Eminem's "Not Afraid" which debuted at number three. The single became N-Dubz' first top ten hit and highest charting single in Ireland to-date. It went on to spend a total of six weeks on the chart after dropping out the chart's top fifty on 8 July 2010.
On 5 June 2010, "We Dance On" debuted at number six on the UK Singles Chart. It in turn became N-Dubz' second highest charting single as solo artists to-date, behind "I Need You" which debuted at number five in 2009. The single spent two weeks within the top ten after dropping to number eight the following week. It has since spent a total of eight weeks within the top forty and nine weeks within the top seventy-five.
After numerous let downs and broken promises and personal problems Mic decided to take time out to re-evaluate his career. He even considered playing football again and had trials for Semi-Professional football club Tooting & Mitcham FC who play in the Isthmian League Premier Division and Whyteleafe F.C. who play in the Isthmian League Division One South but although talented at football he quickly made the decision to stop playing and focus on making music which was his main passion in his life.
Name Change
In January 2011 Mic changed his Stage/Artist name M.D.R (Mike Da Ripper/Murda Da Rhyme'z/Rhyme'z) to Mic Wrath short for Microphone Wrath, its also short for his First and Middle Name. He is also known by his alter ego Romance due to the romantic content in his lyrics about Women and the love he has for music.
2011: Word Blossom
Mic released the E.P "Word Blossom" May 2011 which featured production from I Am The Letter L and Vex King
The E.P was released on Free Download and was build up for his debut Album "Courtesy Of The Conscience"

The Track "The Strong Move Silent" ft English Rappers Pyro Barz & B-Mus Khalil was played on Choice FM by Hip-Hop DJ 279
This Album takes an insight in to the creative and sincere elements of Mic's lyricism exploiting the problems of modern society yet giving you a solution to think about.
Acting Career
<big>SteetDance 3D 2010:</big>
Mic played the small role alongside as the Club Battle MC alongside 1Xtra DJ Semtex in the First UK 3D Movie StreetDance 3D. Mic mentioned on Twitter that he was dissapointed that his voice was changed during the editing of the Movie he said "I think they thought I sounded too Ghetto"
The film received mainly positive reviews and has a 84% "fresh" rating from Rotten Tomatoes However the film was #1 for only one week in the U.K. after making £2,273,938 in box office,. The film's box-office earnings after their theatrical run was $17,695,464.
<big>Zion 2011:</big>
After being scouted by Producer Sheila Nortley at Aml Ameens ASA Drama School, Mic was handed a lead role in the Short Movie which is scheduled to be released late 2011 which features English Actress Kyla Frye, English Actor Shomari Brown, English Actress Vanessa Vanderpuye, English, Actor, Rapper Ashley Walters aka Asher D and English Actor Aml Ameen.
Mic plays the controversial role of "Maxwell".
