Mesivta of Roslyn

The Mesivta of Roslyn also known as The Joseph Grunberg Torah Academy, or Yeshiva Ateres Yitchok (The Beis Midrash, is an affiliate of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim, the Rabbinical Seminary of America). The Mesivta of Roslyn is in North Hills (Roslyn) New York, at 2 Shelter Rock Road New York, 11576. The North Hills Synagogue/ Congregation Zichron Eliezer and Roslyn Torah Foundation are in the same building. The Mesivta of Roslyn is an Jewish Orthodox all-boys Yeshiva High School, it also has a Beis Midrash. The High School, and Beis Midrash opened in 2000. Currently there are about 30 students in the high school.

History
The Mesivta of Roslyn first opened in 2000, it is an affiliate of Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim also known as The Rabbinical Seminary of America. Since its inception in 1933, Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim has been devoted to furthering the cause of Jewish education. Yeshiva Chofetz Chaim has successfully established Yeshivas and other educational centers in cities across the United States, currently educating more than 1200 students at the high school and post-secondary level.
Chofetz Chaim alumni occupy positions of importance in the professional and business world and in the world of Jewish communal activity. They have earned the respect of their communities and colleagues because of their passionate approach to Judaism, their personal and professional integrity and their strong involvement in the Jewish community at large.
In June 2010, due to mounting financial issues, Mesivta of Roslyn finished its final school year and closed its doors.
The Mesivta of Roselyn's proudest talmidim are: Meir Leff, Daniel Fayziyev, and Shmuel Kavian. They brought light into the Yeshiva. Now these talmidim are currently affiliated with Chofetz Chaim Branch in Miami, Florida, Yeshiva Toras Chaim Dr. Abe Chames High School.
Facilities
The Mesivta of Roslyn was in a two story building. On the main floor there is a cafeteria, a kitchen, a Shul, a Beis Midrash, one classroom, and four administrative offices. On the second floor (the basement), there is a computer room (also used as a classroom), a science lab, two classrooms, a coat/locker room, a shower, a Men's, and Women's bathroom, two vending machines a soda and snack machine, an administrative office, three bedroom dorm, a music room, a book room, and two storage rooms. The school doesn't have a gym, but an outdoor NCAA sized basketball court recently built, a volleyball court, and a big open paved area used for football or anything else behind the school. Mesivta of Roslyn is located on a few acres of land with numerous trees, and plants.
