Meili Cady

Meili Cady (born in 1986) is an American actress currently living in Los Angeles, California. She has starred in the movie, and has made appearances in TV series such as .
Early Life
Cady spent her childhood in Bremerton, Washington and went to school at Klahowya Secondary School. After graduation in 2004, she moved to Los Angeles to pursue her dream career as an actress.
Life in Los Angeles
After moving to Los Angeles, Cady took acting classes. She missed her daily bonds back home with her family and friends and became very lonely. Cady was introduced to Lisette Lee by a classmate named Alex. After a few email exchanges, the two gradually became close friends.
Lisette Lee
Lisette Lee, a South Korean native, also known as the Pot Princess of Beverly Hills, claims to be the heiress to the Samsung fortune. As Cady was running out of money, Lee offered her a job as a personal assistant accompanying Lee on a private jet flying from Los Angeles to Columbus, Ohio carrying multiple suitcases containing Marijuana unbeknownst to Cady.
Arrest and Drug Conviction
On June 2010, Meili Cady, Lisette Lee and others were investigated and arrested by the Drug Enforcement Administration as their private jet landed at Columbus, Ohio. Due to the guilty plea deal, and Cady's cooperation with authorities and the court, judge Algenon L. Marbley gave Cady a lenient sentence of 30 days in Victorville Federal Prison Camp for Women, 365 days of house arrest and two years of probation. Cady was sentenced on August 26, 2011. Lisette Lee eventually pleaded guilty and received prison sentence of six years on a charge that required a minimum of 10 years of confinement.
Cady was released from prison on November 9, 2011 to begin her house arrest on November 11, 2011, which ends on November 11, 2012.
An upcoming memoir, Smoke, from HarperCollins Publishers and Dey Street Books will be released on March 24, 2015. This memoir details her friendship with Lisette Lee and her experience with the US criminal justice and correction systems. The tag line for this book is "How a small town girl accidentally wound up smuggling 7000 pounds of Marjuana with the Pot Princess of Beverly Hills".
Personal Life
Meili Cady's father is Alan Cady and her mother is Carla Cady. She also has a brother named Field Cady.
