Meenal Darak

Meenal Darak (born 3 May) is an Indian entrepreneur,corporate woman, model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss India Seattle USA 2016 and later became People's Choice Miss India USA at Miss India USA 2016. She was awarded the titles of Miss Catwalk at various paegants that she participated during her college days in Mumbai.
Meenal Darak, is popularly known in the field of modeling as Meenal Drock. She is also into acting and dancing. She won Shamak Davar's best dancer award in the year 2008. She made appearances in few television serials such as Ranvir Vinay Aur Kaun, Bollywood movie Aggar and also a music video with Nigaar Khan. In 2009 she was on a famous MTNL ad that ran in Mumbai and also appeared in Mid-day playing characters for agony aunty column. She did Hindi as well as English plays in Prithvi theatre and one of her best performances were in a comedy dramatic play called 'Teacher-Teacher' and 'Kyunki Chaas Bhi Kabhi Dahi Thi' which was a comedy adaptation of the popular TV serials Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi.
By profession, Meenal Darak is a Business Analyst and Product manager at AT&T. She recently launched Lifestyle tracker app for android, a free app to help office goers to lose weight by notifying them timely to eat and drink healthy.
Early life
Meenal Darak was born and brought up in Mumbai. Meenal's Dad has been the President of Gujrat Ambuja Cements which was later acquired by the 3rd largest cement producers of the world Holcim. Her Dad is a Chartered accountant (ranked 2nd all over India), Company Secretary and LLB. Her mother was a professor in Management college before Meenal was born and she discontinued with the profession to bring up her and her brother. Meenal Darak completed her Bachelors in Commerce from Narsee Monjee college of Economics and Commerce in year 2008. Along with her Bachleor studies, she also studied Company Secretary from ICSI and attained the degree. She then completed Masters of Commerce MCOM-I and prepared to fly to Newyork for her MBA studies. Meenal belonged to a family that believes strongly in education and hence she always concentrated on studies and continued with her passion of modeling during weekends.
Career
Meenal did runways for famous brands such as Spykar, Lawman Integrity, Millionair bridal wear and Sheetal Sarees by Hemant Trivedi. She gives credit to Hemant Trivedi for grooming her like he did to Aishwarya Rai, Lara Dutta and several other celebrities. She did get trained by Gauhar Khan and mentored by Hrithik Roshan for all of Hemant Trivedi's runway shows. She also appeared in Maxim-India magazine in 2009 and was participating in maxim face of the year. She also won the best model in Zee tv NIIT show in 2006. Meenal also choreographed fashion shows and won award as the best choreographer by Kabir Bedi in Mood Indigo, a famous inter-collegiate and star studded event. By 2010, her post graduation school began and she got back into her geek mode.
After graduation, Meenal worked with JP Morgan Chase and enjoyed her profile as a corporate woman. She continued working in several other large firms and started modeling during weekends to keep a balance between her work life and fashion world.
