Meama (Company)

Meama is a Georgian capsule coffee company, which is the only one in Europe that simultaneously produces European (37 mm diameter) and American (51 mm diameter k-cup) coffee pods (capsules). The company also produces various types of ground coffee, which are placed in individual packaging bags.
In addition, technological innovations have also been created in Meama. The company's engineers have created a modern Georgian vending machine - Dropper, which is managed by a mobile application.
The plant is equipped with production equipment under the European brand and meet international standards. The process is fully automated and controlled by a control system equipped with a computer system, therefore the need for human resources in the production process is minimal.
Capsule coffee is created by industrial machines, therefore, each capsule may contain 5 or more types of coffees from different countries.
Meama Building
"Meama" coffee plant is located on 30 thousand square meters in Tbilisi, the capital of Georgia, and is one of the main values of the brand. The building houses both a coffee production and an office space. It gains attention due to its eye-catching and impressive architecture, and location. Accordingly, it is often submitted to various competitions. In 2019, it won ArchDaily&Strelka Award for the Best Industrial Building, and in 2020, it won 3 nominations in the , one of the largest architectural competitions in the world (interior design, low-rise workspace, architecture and concrete). The architect of the building is Giorgi Khmaladze, and the concrete building of complex construction was also built by the Georgian construction company "Unix Development".
The company has obtained ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certificates.
