McGuffey Foundation School is a private school in Oxford Ohio. It was founded in 1983 by Janet Krechmer. Krechmer was a graduate of McGuffey Lab School at Miami University. McGuffey has classrooms for Preschool thru eighth grade. History McGuffey Foundation School was founded in 1983 by janet Krechmer. Krechmer wanted to found a school based on her philosophy "children can learn by playing games". Her dream came true when she bought a small farmhouse on westgate drive in Oxford Ohio. Today McGuffey has expanded to two buildings and is a very prosperous school. Staff McGuffey Foundation School has a staff of about nine teachers and various other staff.
