Maximilian MacAulay

Maximilian Maria MacAulay ( ; born 31 January 1986) is a Polish priest with the honorary dignity of a Canon and R.M. incardinated to the Catholic Church in United Kingdom. Between July and August 2017 he was the Ordinary of the Territorial Prefecture of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Monsignore MacAulay was also a Parish Priest of Polish Personal Parish of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Glasgow.
Biography
Maximilian MacAulay was born on 31 January 1986 in Czestochowa, Poland. In 2002, he started studies in Roman Catholic Lower Ecclesiastical Seminary of . In 2006, he was the founder of NZOZ (en. Private Health Care) Emergency Ambulance Services in Czestochowa and was the director for 4 years. In 2010, MacAulay moved to Glasgow, Scotland and joined to High Ecclesiastical Seminary of St Mary, where he studied remotely. In 2015, MacAulay was ordained a priest by hand of bp Hall. In the same year he was installed as a parish priest of Polish Catholic Personal Parish of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Glasgow.
Until 23 July 2017, after the VI Extraordinary Synod in Poland, MacAulay was nominated for the honorary Canon and was established the Ordinary of new erected The Territorial Prefecture of United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. He held the office of the Ordinary until August 2017.
He was a consultor to the development of Canon Law of the Catholic Church in Poland adopted by the VI Extraordinary Synod in 2017.
Mgr MacAulay is incardinated to the Mission of Polish Catholic Church in United Kingdom.
Currently pastoral work
In August 2019, Monsignor MacAulay voluntarily requested a leave of absence for two years and he resigned from the office of parish priest of Polish Catholic Personal Parish of Our Lady of Czestochowa in Glasgow. He is currently outside from the place of incardination.
