Matfact

Definition

A Matfact is a "fact" stated, sometimes without sources, by Matej MaÄ?ák.

Origin

After the phrase was used by Vlad et al, it is now disputed as to whether the word was created by Andy or Vlad, but analysts agree it doesn't matter. It became a common word which can be used in place of the idea of a non-verifiable piece of information.

Redefinition of 2007

The original writer of this article has been inundated by complaints regarding the use of the word "usually" in the sub-clause "usually without sources" as such, this wording is no longer deemed an accurate usage of the word matfact.
