Master Arcane

Master Arcane, creator of The Crow Academy and author of "Igniting the Fire: The Art of Romantic Submission" is an internationally recognized Dominant, BDSM teacher and performer from Los Angeles, California. His educational efforts are aimed at advancing a greater understanding of the alternative sexuality known as the modern Domination & Submission experience.
Early Work
In 1997 Master Arcane created the journalistic website Club Iniquity for the purpose of reporting on "High Fetish Fashion" BDSM events around the world. His website came about as a result of living and participating in the fetish scene in Europe from 1992 to 1994, and thereafter attending similar events around the globe. In 1998 Master Arcane built a BDSM training academy in the San Francisco Bay Area known as The Crow Academy. At the same time Club Iniquity went live to become San Francisco’s first "strict fetish dress code" BDSM club. After developing notoriety for adherence to a European standard of sophistication within the genre of American fetish clubs, Master Arcane later collaborated with other fetish club promoters to bring the Iniquity stamp to their events as well, including: The 2002 You Do Voodoo Fetish Ball in San Francisco, The 2002 Los Angeles Fetish Ball and The DomDominion Fetish Week in San Francisco. Starting in 2004, in conjunction with notable body modification artist Joey Strange and professional bondage rigger Damon Pierce, Master Arcane helped create and run the performance art oriented fetish club Carnavale de Sade at the Passive Arts Studios in Los Angeles (now known as Sanctuary LAX). Carnavale de Sade aimed to bring together LA’s S&M, body mod and fetish fashion communities under one roof.

In 2007 Master Arcane started a new chapter of The Crow Academy in Australia. There he taught workshops in the South Queensland area at venues such as Club Retribution and The Den, and performed at Club Hellfire in Brisbane. He brought his art to larger audiences with performance partner Satine Phoenix at the more expansive Club Hellfire in Sydney. Master Arcane’ most noteworthy Australian performance was at The Voodoo Lounge Halloween Fetish Ball in Perth Australia where Satine was quoted saying, "It feels amazing, like we’re this ball of energy and it’s the most romantic, sexiest thing in the world" in a post-performance interview broadcast nationwide by Australia’s Seven News Network who covered the whole event. 2007 also saw Master Arcane’s free public outreach project in the form of the website known as Arcane Advice where he began addressing issues one might encounter with a BDSM relationship. In 2008, as Arcane's notoriety grew, Rebecca Anderson from AI News interviewed Master Arcane during which she stated that, "among professional/performance Doms in the fetish community, one would be hard pressed to find an equal to Master Arcane in terms of knowledge, style and experience."

Current Work and Education Materials
In 2015 Master Arcane and Crow Academy Publishing released the Ebook version of "IGNITING THE FIRE: The Art of Romantic Submission," Master Arcane’s first BDSM manual. The 400 page book, created over 8 years and entirely from Arcane’s real-world experience, with the added photographic talents of world-famous photographers Ken Marcus and Perry Gallagher, primarily focused on how to create a romantic relationship within The Crow Academy’s High-Protocol style of D/s (Domination/submission). This debut book from The Crow Academy presented an entire A-Z course of study for both newcomers and experienced BDSM practitioners alike.
