Massimo Gasbarroni,
classical guitarrist. Many critics have described him as one of the most outstanding guitar performers. Among the first students in guitar of Italian conservatories, 1956, with Balestra, Gelmetti, Ghiglia and others.

During his long activity, since 1962, the Italian guitar soloist, born in Terracina (Italy) on 13/7/34, performed in many famous halls, such as at the Tchaicovski Hall of Moscow, the Great Hall of St.Petersburg Philharmonic, in Tel-Aviv, Peking, Oslo and Stockholm, in Madrid, Rome, Athens, Munich and Hamburg.
The repertoire of Gasbarroni, is mainly based on 17th 19th and 20th centuries: Gaspar Sanz, , G. Petrassi, Lodovico Roncalli, Johan Sebastian Bach, Jan Kaspar Mertz, Isaac Albeniz, Agustin Barrios Mangoré, Vicente Emilio Sojo, Mario Castelnuovo-Tedesco.
Gasbarroni is especially appreciated and known for his interpretations of Heitor Villa-Lobos, even by the Brazilian Critic.
In his frequent travels in South America, critics and musicologists, like and Israel Peña from Caracas, have described him "ángel de la música" and written "beyond any doubt he belongs to the category of the greatest guitarists of our times". Gasbarroni began to study in Rome with G. B. Noceti and in the Conservatory of Santa Cecilia, in Rome, completing his studies with Andrès Segovia and Alirio Diaz. He has been teaching for 40 years at the Italian conservatories of Cagliari, Naples and Latina and has held many seminars, master classes and lectures in several countries in the world, as in: Brazil, Russia, Canada, China, Korea, Spain, Poland, Germany, Italy, etc.Krzysztof Penderecki invited him to hold interpretative courses at the Superior Cracow's Academy of Music and the Real Conservatorio de Mùsica of Madrid invited him to hold an interpretative master class on Villa-Lobos. He is invited in many international festivals and is a jury member of numerous international guitar competitions (foreman or member). He has appeared on many radio and television networks.
Critics agree in praising the Italian virtuoso for his sensitive interpretations, for his "stylistic versatility and for his technical skill". "The satisfaction that Gasbarroni gives to his listeners is beyond the power of speech to convey", praises the authoritative American musicologist George Miller, MONDAY MORNING Nov.1980.
