Mason tract

The Mason Tract is a 4,493 acre parcel of public land along the South Branch of the Au Sable River in Crawford County, Michigan. It was formerly the private hunting retreat of automobile executive George Mason, who willed it to the state of Michigan after his death in 1955. Trout fishing and canoeing opportunities there attract thousands of visitors each year.
