Mashachapada Road

Mashachapada Road is an upmarket residential street at Kashigaon in Mira Road East, Mira-Bhayandar, Thane, parallel to Kashimira Flyover, Western Express Highway which it meets at the well-known intersection called Jari Mari Mandir Road. The road has been in the news in recent times because of the illegal construction. Mashachapada Road is a very affluent area, and also home to several Bollywood TV stars.

The road was officially renamed "Jari Mari Mandir Mashachapada Road" many years ago, but residents and the city's taxi-drivers, and others continue to refer to it by its former name. It has a large number of trees and agriculuture land, such as the official residence of the Mayor of Mira Bhayander. The Jari Mari temple which is located on a lake side and is quiet, scenic and utterly relaxing from inside. It is reputed to be about quiet old and was renovated in 2010. The temple is normally opened between 5 in the morning till 10 at night, but open 24 hours during the main festival days like Mahashivratri, Ram Navami etc.
