Masalipit

Masalipit is a barangay of the municipality of San Miguel, Bulacan, Philippines. It has a population of 2,703 as of May 2009 distributed to 1,374 males and 1,329 females. It has 532 households and 656 families.
Masalipit is populated by people mostly from Pampanga and other parts of Bulacan. The means of livelihood are farming, livestock and poultry raising,dairy production, bamboo crafts, and carpentry among men, while women are into sari-sari stores, dressmaking, rag-making and going abroad as domestic helpers.
Its topography is composed of plains to slopes which are very good for rice and corn farming as well as backyard gardening and fruit trees planting. The barangay, being a far-flung place, depend on deep-weel as its main source of water. Its electricity is provided by the Manila Electric Company.
Masalipit has a complete elementary school, a day care center, a health center regularly visited by a rural health midwife, a basketball court, chapells and places of worships of various religious denominations, a stage where programs and other activities are being held and soon, a well-paved concrete farm-to-market road.
It has active organizations such as Masalipit Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (MATODA), farmer's cooprative, irrigators' association, the Lingod Lingap sa Nayon ( a women's organization).
