Marziah Karch

Marziah Karch (born December 15, 1971) is a book author from Lawrence, Kansas and currently living in Portland, Oregon. She writes mainly about technology and parenting issues. She has written books and magazine articles for WIRED as well as online content. She has been a Google expert for About.com since 2006. Her About.com site ranks 13th on About.com's network according to Alexa score She also has written articles for the GeekMom Blog, formerly on WIRED. Her coverage of Marissa Mayer was metioned in USA Today. Her article on Mayim Bialik's anti-vaccination choice drew a response from Bialik and was widely quoted in third party blogs .
Biography
Marziah Karch grew up in Emporia, Kansas and lived for 20 years in Lawrence, Kansas with her husband and two children. She now lives in Portland, Oregon. She previously worked in Kansas City as an educational technologist for Johnson County Community College. Her son has autism, and she has given conference presentations on autism and technology.
She holds a bachelors from the University of Kansas and a Masters in Instructional Design from Emporia State University in 2003. She is a Phi Kappa Phi scholar.
