Marnie Winston-Macauley (or Marnie Macauley) is a Jewish-American author, columnist, television writer, and clinician. She is best known as the advice columnist "Ask Sadie" and for the "A Little Joy, A Little Oy" series. Biography After receiving her undergraduate degree at Adelphi College, she went on to earn a master's degree in Social Group Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work<ref nameNYT1 />. She then worked for the New York City Department of Correction<ref nameNYT1 />. She was appointed vice-president of the New York Association of Pre-Trial Services Agencies in Westchester County, New York<ref name=NYT1 />. Print and Web Ms. Winston-Macauley is the creator and voice behind the advice column, "Ask Sadie,” which was syndicated through Tribune Media Services to top newspapers, such as the Detroit Free Press and the Baltimore Sun. She is a counselor and contributer on LivePerson. She is currently the lead writer for the special series "Stars of David" which can be found, along with her other articles, on Jewlarious.com. She writes/or has written fact-based relationship-features, advice, and/or and humor columns for Tucson Citizen, Jewish Life & Style, Jewish World Review, Las Vegas Woman., and Roxanne. Her free-lance relationship features,and humor columns and articles have appeared in hundreds of magazines and newspapers in the U.S. and around the world. In the U.S. a few include: Woman, First, Woman's World, TheaterWeek, The New York Times, and The Rocky Mountain News. Television and Radio Winston-Macauley was a script writer for the daytime drama As The World Turns. Her scripts were nominated for an Emmy Award - Best Writing, and a Writer's Guild Award - Best Writing. Winston-Macauley hosted the advice radio show, Ask Sadie Live, was a regular advice maven on The Karen Grant Show, and has appeared as a movie critic for the Lifetime Network. Winston-Macauley has also been featured as either an author or a relationship expert on The Mike & Maty Show, The Mark Walberg Show, The Pat Bullard Show, The Charles Perez Show and The O'Reilly Report (later named The O'Reilly Factor). In 2003, she starred in the relationship-advice pilot Sadie Says! for Discovery Health.
