Marina Matiss

Marina Matiss (born 31 March 1991) is a Spanish and Belarusian singer, songwriter, and poet. She began her music career in January 2020 when her debut single "Phoboslight was released. Since then she has released 5 singles and 2 music videos.
Early life
Matiss was born in Minsk, Belarus. She began singing and playing the piano at a young age. Before pursuing music as a career, she studied linguistics and graduated with an MBA.
Career
In 2019, Matiss published a novel in Russian called "Nevesomost", meaning “Zero Gravity,”
She was nominated for the national literature prize "Poet of the Year" for 2021
In early 2020, she started her solo career as a singer. Her first music video and single "Phoboslight" was about a mission to Mars, in the video some footage of Amelia Earhard was also featured as an homage for her contributions to aviation and space exploration. She also released "The Choice," on which she worked with David Palau, Spanish guitarist and producer known for his work with Alejandro Sanz, David Bisbal and Toto.
Her other singles include "More than Heaven" and "El Perdón," which were produced by Arthur Pingrey who is known for his work with Sia and Sting. In the video she burns an old piano on the beach of Barcelona.
In 2020 she was also nominated for the Best Female Artist award by Radio Wigwam in the UK. Her music has been played by 65 stations in 20 different countries.
