Marcus Epstein

Marcus Yung-Gyu Epstein is an American writer-journalist and paleoconservative political activist.
Background and activities
Epstein formerly served as the executive director of Team America PAC, a political action committee founded by Tom Tancredo, and of The American Cause, a foundation created by Pat Buchanan.
Epstein worked for the Leadership Institute in Arlington, Virginia.
Robert Taft Club
In 2006 Epstein co-founded a paleoconservative group, the Robert Taft Club, named for Senator Robert Taft. It hosted talks in the Washington, D.C.-area by invited guests, including Ron Paul, Jared Taylor, Robert Stacy McCain, Frank Vanhecke, Charles Murray, Tom Bethell, Richard Spencer, Ron Bailey, and John Derbyshire.
In 2006 the Taft Club sponsored a debate on "race and conservatism" between white nationalist Jared Taylor, British-American journalist John Derbyshire, and African-American commentator Kevin Martin.
The Taft Club is now dormant if not defunct. As of 2008, its board consisted of Epstein, Richard Spencer, and Daniel McCarthy.
Epstein has been criticized by the Southern Poverty Law Center for writing "racist essays" for "the white nationalist hate website VDARE.com" and attending and hosting events featuring racist speakers.
Publications
Epstein has written for The American Conservative, Human Events, The Washington Examiner, VDARE, Taki's Magazine, Townhall.com, Congressional Quarterly, The Independent Review, and LewRockwell.com, among other publications.
