The Maoist Communist Party (, abbreviated PCm) is a Marxist-Leninist-Maoist (MLM) political party in France. The party's ideology focuses primarily on the Maoist aspect of MLM. The party was founded in January 2016, succeeding the Red Bloc (Maoist Unity) which was formed in 2012 by the French Maoist Communist Party and the Union of Communists of France Marxist-Leninist and the Communist Organization, Red Future. The party's founder is "Comrade Pierre," who was a member of the Gauche prolétarienne, a Maoist political party in France during the May 1968 movement. The party has participated in the European Conference of Marxist-Leninist-Maoist Parties and Organizations and has also supported the French Yellow Vests Protests. On December 26, 2022, the party participated in the creation of the International Communist League. |
