Introduction Mallak Faisal Zafar (born: c. 2007) is the first Pakistani figure skater. Zafar has been practicing this sport when she was just five. She is named Pakistan's ice princess by her Pakistani fans. She is currently based in Dubai. Career and Accomplishments Zafar stood first and earned gold medal in the Basic Novice Girls II category against 22 competitors at the 24th Eiscup Inssbruck held in Austria. It's noteworthy to mention that it was the Austria's largest figure skating competition. She introduced figure skating in Pakistan and actively partook in the first country-based competition held at the beautiful winter resort of Naltar in Gilgit-Baltistan. She made her fellow Pakistanis proud for her meritorious performance on ice rink in Gulkin, Hunza Valley. She holds membership of the figure skating club in Spain where she attends live coaching. Besides giving useful tips, she encourages youth to actively participate in figure skating. Zafar as a Trainer Zafar has also held training sessions for young people in Karachi and Islamabad in 2019. Ambitions Zafar has deep-hearted love for Pakistan and is ambitious about promoting figure skating among young Pakistani girls. Owing to her spectacular performances, she has brought laurels to Pakistan from regional figure skating competitions held in UAE, Austria, Spain, and Andorra. Zafar aims to grab gold medal in Winter Olympics in the future.
