Makaman Kano Iliyasu a descendant of Makaman Kano Isa I, was a Kingmaker in the Kano Emirate Council. He belonged to the Jobawa clan of the Fulani. History He was appointed as a Kingmaker of the Kano Emirate Council with the royal title of Makaman Kano by Emir of Kano Mohammed Tukur, he ascended the throne when Makaman Kano Fulailu died. Reign and death Makaman Kano Iliyasu ascended the throne during the Kano Civil War. He ruled over the District of Wudil, comprising Wudil, Sumaila, Takai and Garko. He died at Kamri during the Kano Civil War and was succeeded by Makaman Kano Mujeli. |
