Magor Communications Corporation is a privately held company that develops and markets telecollaboration solutions.
History
Magor was founded in 2006 by Wesley Clover, a business investment firm chaired by Terry Matthews. Although the initial focus of the company was on large interactive HD wall technology, the company shifted its focus within 12 months to address collaboration centric applications in the emerging telecollaboration market, where personal desktop collaboration and high definition video conferencing environments are integrated.
Magor is headquartered in Ottawa, Canada with regional offices in Dulles, Virginia and London, England.
Technology
Magor develops telecollaboration software solutions that utilizes 1080p video resolution for both videoconferencing and collaboration content. The software runs on standard hardware, has bandwidth optimizations to allow it to operate over standard best effort networks such as the Internet, employs standard video codecs based on H.264, and is interoperable with other telecollaboration solutions.
