Mackintosh Muggleton was born on the 16th of February, 1994 in London, England and the child of production designer Sarah Greenwood.

Mackintosh Muggleton starred in the 2007 post-apocalyptic horror slasher film 28 Weeks Later, where he played a 12 year old boy called Andy, who arrived back with his sister Tammy (Imogen Poots) from Spain to repopulate london after a "rage" virus outbreak took over London. he then finds out that he is the youngest person in the entire country.

In January 2008, Muggleton topped the list of Worst Male Hairstyles carried out by magazine. The article read: "The worst looking hairstyle on our list is rising star's Mackintosh Muggleton's. Our survey deemed his long locks as the most undesirable haircut mothers would want their sons to wear."
Muggleton has been criticised or misunderstood from other sources about his hair. IMDb listed him as an "actress" on his profile, widely believed to be due to his appearance in 28 Weeks Later sporting long hair.
