Development Mace Swinger is a 2D Medieval Action game first conceptualized by Chris Lovasz (also known as and hereafter referred to as Sips) during a showcase of the video game 'Game Dev Tycoon' on his YouTube channel ' YogscastSips'. The game played during the showcase focuses on the process of game development and serves this purpose by allowing the player to create fictional 'video games' within the game itself. One of the games 'created' by Sips in this video was titled 'Mace Swinger' which, in the game, was his first 'popular' game produced by his character. Coincidentally, the game's concept proved similarly popular among the fanbase of the channel, and, a few weeks thereafter, independent game developer Kyle Wildman (wildman01 on reddit) announced he was working on a full working game based on this concept including references to many of the videos Sips has uploaded. Notably, Sips has agreed to voice act for the game. A trailer showcasing the game's art assets have been released on youtube.
