Personality And Traits

The half-Icelandic, half-American daughter of Divine Crusaders leader, Bian Zoldark, 17-year old Lune Zoldark is a hot-blooded, athletic girl with great reflexes that are at a superhuman level. This was all due to intense training in a gravity-field room in Jupiter, where she was residing. According to Master Rishu Togo, Lune could block incoming bullets aimed at her with ease while she ate breakfast. It is her reflexes that enables her machine, the Valsione, to execute the Mirror Image skill, and not due to the system being installed into the mech.

She first hated Masaki Andoh for killing her father, but she eventually befriended and developed a huge crush on him, to the point of calling herself his "girlfriend". This attempt is usually interrupted by Masaki's fellow herald, , that it was only "self-proclaimed". Things take a harder turn when she learned about Masaki's true girlfriend, . She immediately considered Wendy her rival in love, but soon discovered she is a nice woman after all, and befriended her as well.

Lune is rather weak against flattery, and always attempts to get Masaki to flatter her, although sometimes her attempt backfires, due to Masaki's own cluelessness about the opposite sex. A rather noticeable trait of her clothing style is that the left part of her jeans is always torn. The reason behind this is still unknown. Other than that, she usually wears a blue headband and a white tanktop shirt, although recently (as of Super Robot Wars Original Generation: Divine Wars), during a sortie into battle, Lune will don a full-body pilot suit.

History

Classic Timeline

When the Londo Bell defeated Bian Zoldark in Super Robot Wars 2, Bian briefly mentioned Lune's name. It wasn't until Super Robot Wars 3 that Lune showed up in her Valsione and challenged the Londo Bell, in order to avenge her father. Lune was defeated, but quickly reconciled, seeing that the remaining Divine Crusaders weren't fighting the way Bian had imagined. She would meet up with Masaki Andoh and join in the war against the Inspectors, as well as the final battle against Shu Shirakawa.

Months after the battle with Shu, Lune was suddenly transported to La Gias, where she met , the herald to the MasÅ? Kishin, . Along with Yang Long, Lune became involved with the war between the Langran, Bagonia and Shutedonia kingdoms, serving under and his Holy Knights. Lune befriends his son, Zashford, but when Karx was revealed to be aligning with the forces of , Lune and Yang Long were forced to kill him. She also discovered that Masaki was also involved in the war.

During her stay in La Gias, Lune had her Valsione enhanced with the alchemy of La Gias, and it resulted in the Valsione R. She would later take part in the war against the Guests. Afterwards, she returns to La Gias once again and helped Masaki wrap up unfinished business, as chronicled in the second part of Super Robot Wars Gaiden.

Original Generation Timeline

Lune's background is the same as the classic timeline from the moment she sought to avenge Bian and her meeting with Masaki.

At the beginning of Original Generation 2, Lune is called to rendezvous with the Hiryu Custom, along with Guiliam Jeager and Viletta Vadim, near the White Star. However, it was soon under attack by the Inspectors. Lune and her allies escaped their clutches, but not after she exchanged taunts with one of the Inspectors, Aguija, whom she would refer to as a hag. Lune later reunites with Masaki and became involved in the war against the Shadow-Mirror, Inspectors and Einst. The newly formed Neo Divine Crusaders still held her in high regards, referring her as Miss.

After the war is over, as chronicled in Super Robot Wars Original Generations and the Super Robot Wars Original Generation: The Sound Cinema, Lune visited the Tesla Leicht Institute. However, she was soon attacked by a fleet of Bartools and a prototype Mironga, led by Kyle Bean. Lune defended the place, along with Ibis Douglas and Masaki (Master Rishu Togo would participate in Original Generations, but not in The Sound Cinema). The battle ends as Shu Shirakawa enters into the fray and easily dispatches Kyle. Following his cryptic message, Lune follows Masaki, as they rendezvous with the Hagane and Hiryu Custom, in the assault on the Hellgate facility, to rescue Lamia Loveless, Kusuha Mizuha and members of the Aggressors.
