Lucy Silah Sulahian

Lucy Sulahian born in Aleppo Syria is an award winning author of numerous publications comprising stories for children and other literary genres. She writes in Armenian, French and English.
Sulahian pioneered the introduction of Armenian literature to Arab and other culture. The Barouyr Sevag a literary salon held at her residence in Aleppo, is a Center of the gathering for Armenian and Arab writers. She has been on the editorial board of the Aleppo Armenian periodicals and yearly Magazines such as Old Peoples' Home periodical , Arm.catholic periodical, Keghart and Nor Abril (official periodicals of AGBU).

A children story The first Day of school is published in an Armenian textbook Mrkasdan for Elementary schools. Other short stories and articles have Been published in more than 25 Armenian magazines and journals around the world.
The Union of writers of Armenia has published three of Sulahian’s books. The Red Bicycle and The Giant Boy for children and a short story book The Unfinished love Symphony. The Ministry of Culture of Syria has published Sulahian’s short stories book Love and Love in Damascus. A short stories book. The Errant souls and The Red Bicycle illustrated are published by” Mustafa Tlass Publishing House” in Damascus.
An award winning illustrated children’s book is published by the University of Montreal in Canada, The White Princess.
Other published books are The little Heroes published in Aleppo Syria, illustrated by Vrej Kassouny and “Following the Steps of Onnig Sarkisian” published in Los Angeles, a collections of the body of Sarkisian’s work 600 pages with a peek of the Man behind the writing. Sulahian was a board member of the Philadelphia Writer’s Conference. Her works have been translated into Arabic, Russian and German languages.
In 2008 she was awarded the gold medal of the Writers' Union of Armenia.
