LUCY Gateway

The LUCY Gateway is a high-speed payment processing engine that provides a secure bridge between a business’s point-of-sale system and payment clearing networks via the Internet. LUCY is an acronym for Let Us Connect You. LUCY provides integrated payment processing to businesses of all sizes, whether they be brick-and- mortar or web-based. Retailers can incorporate mobile payment devices into point of sale systems without altering the payment process. The LUCY Gateway has a virtual terminal, which allows mobile merchants to process their customers' electronic payments.Cynergy Data launched LUCY in the spring of 2008. Cynergy Data acquired gateway services from Abanco International in April 2007. LUCY Gateway Specifications LUCY Gateway processes all types of electronic payments: electronic checks, Automated Clearing House (ACH), credit cards, Personal Identification Number (PIN), debit cards, gift cards and Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT). Electronic payments are processed by a gateway provider that operates and maintains an electronic payment system. LUCY functions on open architecture, allowing for integration with POS systems. A Retail Management System plug-in facilitates integration for Windows-based POS systems and increases processor options. All payment gateways offer Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) encryption. LUCY also provides intrusion detection and file integrity systems. LUCY meets all Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards. The (PCIDSS) was developed by the PCI Security Council, comprising VISA, MasterCard, Japan Credit Bureau (JCB), American Express and Discover Financial, to improve data security and protect customer information. LUCY Supported Integrated Solutions The Lucy Gateway supports numerous integrated solutions including MicroSoft RMS plug-in, DirectOCX and ActiveX controls. ActiveX is a technology developed by Microsoft that allows different programs to share information. AccuPOS, a provider of point of sale for the retail and hospitality industries began using the LUCY Gateway payment processing system in May of 2008. The development partnership between LUCY Gateway and AccuPOS enables retailers to take advantage of enhanced POS technology to boost their sales and gain customers.
