Luca A Longobardi was an Investment banker, a venture capitalist and private equity investor, is a best selling author and an Hospitality Entrepreneur , based in London.
Early Life
In his 20's Luca a college drop out, left Italy with $500 and travelled to New York. Started his career as a Kitchen porter, a cook, a busboy, and a shirt sales man. He later became a stockbroker. at VTR Capital, a spin off of now defunct Stratton Oakmont, the investment bank founded by Jordan Belfort. He was a Vice President at Ladenburg Thalmann, one of the oldest investment banking firm in the United States, owned by Carl Icahn, Bennett S. LeBow and David Dreman, after leaving Ladenburg Thalmann, in 1999 he founded State Capital a global Investment Banking group, with offices in Miami, New York, Sao Paolo, Milan and London
Arrest
In 2010, Luca Longobardi was arrested on a sting operation initiated by an Italian prosecutor, he found himself on the interpol list, as one the most wanted men in the world. He served time in a maximum security prison in Brazil, alongside some of the most notorious criminals, like terrorist Pierluigi Bragaglia , Colombian Drug Lord Pablo Rayo Montano, Pierre Delannoy the pilot of Boyaca and Pablo Escobar and George Jung private pilot, together with Barry Seal. Luca was released in September 2010 and clear of all charges. During his arrest , Brazilian Police chief declared to the press that Luca was laundering the money of the Italian Mafia's, calling him "The Mafia Banker".

Family
He was married to Maria Joana Parizotto, Miss Brazil 1996 and Miss Nuestra Beleza International 1997, for 14 years and have 2 daughters Julia and Raffaella.
Movie
In November 2015 Luca published his autobiography - "Branded The Mafia's Banker" which become a global best seller, and has signed movie rights.
