Loune

Loune is an Indie Rock band formed in East Lansing, Michigan in 2008. After moving into a Rental House in East Lansing Michigan, the band continued to record in advance of their debut album, Loune EP. The band consists of singer/guitarist Dave Suchanek, guitarist Shawn Henry Adams, bassist Kevin Pritchard, and drummer Rick Hale.
History
The Early Years
Loune was formed in the fall of 2008 while on a kayaking trip in the Les Cheneaux Islands of Lake Huron. After their formation Loune began writing for their debut EP. Recorded, produced, and Engineered by Suchanek and Pritchard at their in home recording studio Bigger Brush Studios.
Loune EP
The Loune EP was released on November 11th, 2009 . The EP was recorded and produced in house entirely by members of Loune. The first song on the EP (Oh, Sister) was the first to be recorded, and is admittedly about Suchanek’s younger sister. The EP is available through the band website and available free of charge.
In Concert and the Media
Loune has toured as far west as Chicago and as far east as Toronto. The band has performed live on WDBM East Lansing’s The Basement. They've played with artists such as As Tall as Lions, Frontier Ruckus, and Kevin Devine.
In April 2010 Loune was the recipient of the City Pulse 2010 Top of the Town award for Best Original Band.
