Louise Frishwasser (born 1952) is a London-based American born artist, painter and printmaker Louise Frishwasser was born in New York City, grew up in Scarsdale, New York and studied Art at Barnard College, Columbia University from 1970 to 1974, at the Art Students League of New York's Woodstock summer school of painting in 1972 and subsequently received a scholarship to work at the Printmaking Workshop. She lived and worked in New York City until 1992 when she moved first to the south of France, then in 1994 to London where she maintains a studio An abstract painter who works with acrylic on canvas, gouache on paper and monotypes with oil based printing inks. Exhibitions of Louise Frishwasser's work have taken place at: 1996, London; the Annual International Juried Show 1999 at the San Diego Art Institute; National Juried Show 1992 Berkshire Museum Pittsfield, MA.
