Louie Benedict Ignacio is a Filipino sociologist and political scientist currently serving as Chair of the Sociology Department at the University of Santo Tomas (UST). His research focuses on urban governance, sociology of education, tardiness as a semiotic, and political sociology. Early life and education Ignacio earned his Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Santo Tomas (2002-2006), followed by a Master of Arts in Sociology from the Ateneo de Manila University (2006-2010). He later completed his Doctor of Philosophy in Political Science at the University of Santo Tomas (2012-2018).
