Los Angeles Stadium and Event Center

The Los Angeles Stadium and Event Center is a proposed Stadium in Downtown Los Angeles california USA. The stadium is being proposed by Tim Leiweke thru AEG. The Stadium site is to be built if approved between Staples Center and the I-110 Freeway.
Casey Wasserman and Tim Leiweke are investigating the possibility of building a stadium behind Staples Center, where the West Hall of the Los Angeles Convention Center now sits, with the idea of replacing that convention space elsewhere in the general area. It is suggested as a fitting place to stage events such as the Super Bowl, Final Four, etc. July 2010 reports in the Los Angeles media states that lobbyists for AEG has contacted members of the California state legislature in hopes of gaining Environmental Exceptions, just like the City of Industry stadium, for a new stadium near the L.A. Live area. This site is just two miles north of the University of Southern California campus and the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. In early December 2010, Magic Johnson indicated his interest in helping to built the stadium
