Lorraine Platt

Lorraine Platt (born in Cheshire in 1962) is a contemporary British artist known for her painting of floral images. She is listed in both editions of The Dictionary of Artists in Britain Since 1945 (David Buckman 1997, and the revised edition 2006), and has had work published in association with the Royal Academy of Art ('Watercolour Still Life, A Master Class.'-DK publishing in association with the Royal Academy of Arts 1993). She has spoken on a number occasions about her work as an artist including talks at Oxford University and The University of East London.
The artist's states Matisse, Van Gogh and Gauguin whose paintings reflect an energetic spectrum of glowing colour are the main influences on her work.
