London Derrière is the 24th short in The Inspector series of theatrical cartoons. A total of 34 entries were produced between 1965 and 1969. Plot The Inspector chases jewel thief Louie Le Swipe, across Europe and finally arriving in London, where the captain of Scotland Yard keeps reprimanding him for shooting, as police in the UK do not carry guns. Production notes The Pink Panther Show contained a laugh track when the Pink Panther cartoons were broadcast on NBC-TV. Currently, the laugh-tracked version airs on the Spanish language Boomerang TV channel. Portions of William Lava's music score written for the pilot entry The Great De Gaulle Stone Operation is used in London Derriere. Its title is a play on the Londonderry Air, an air named after County Londonderry in Northern Ireland.
