The Logitech G51 is a set of loudspeakers that is manufactured by Logitech, a company that makes many computer accessories such as mice, keyboards and speakers.The G51s have 5.1 surround sound which includes one center speaker, four satellite speakers and one subwoofer. Usually priced around $130-$150USD or $200AUD.
Via a button labeled "Matrix", located in the lower right corner of the control panel, the speakers can be set in 3 different modes: "gaming", "music" or none (No matrix selected). Selecting a matrix mode takes stereo audio and distributes it among all the speakers, simulating to a certain extent 5.1 surround sound. If the signal is, however, of 5.1 format, deactivating matrix mode will reproduce true 5.1 surround sound.
