Living Control is a company that manufacturers systems for home automation and audio/video control. The hardware developed by Living Control includes room controllers, touch panels, keypads, lighting control systems, and amplifiers. Living Control is a manufacturer of multiroom audio and video systems systems. Offering integrated solutions to control audio, video, computer, IP and environmental systems. Living Control's products are intended to provide control of electronic and mechanical devices. Their control systems can be used to control other brands of equipment by IR signaling, relays, or RS232/RS422 serial communications. More recently Living Control introduced the RoomBoxNT. System layout Controller - The central "component" of the Living Control system. Commands are relayed to it via the interface devices, and the Controller executes the commands to the required devices. Interface - The interface is the device used by the user to initiate actions executed or processed by the controller. User interfaces can be touch panels or simple keypads. Controlled Devices - The devices the Living Control controller has been programmed to control. Includes items such as DVD Players, audio/video switchers, sound processing equipment, curtains, lighting control systems, etc. Some devices may be controlled by IR signals. It is slightly limited to the wealthier users due to the prices involved with installation and programming. Living Control is known for being the first multiroom company to dissemiate information by means of a wiki called Livipedia.
